For more than 35 years, Thomas Giallonardo has been providing the Gulf South Region with high-quality commercial construction services. He is the founder of D’Argent Companies, the family-owned and operated commercial real estate and construction business he started.

Thomas built the foundation of his career working as a brick mason in his early teens with his father’s masonry company. As he worked jobs throughout the New Orleans area, Thomas began to dream of growing his own business; in the mid-1980s, he founded North Shore Masonry, his first business. 

During his time as a masonry contractor, Thomas Giallonardo began to visualize a future where he could expand his business ventures into all areas of the construction industry. In the early 90s, he successfully completed his first turnkey commercial real estate project in South Louisiana. 

After the turnkey project was completed, Tom’s business really began to flourish as he grew his offerings to include construction and build-to-suit development, and when he began taking on projects and opportunities outside of Louisiana, the D’Argent name became nationally recognizable. 

At D’Argent, Thomas and the team offer services that cover the entire lifespan of a project. The commercial real estate cycle itself consists of ten phases: site selection, due diligence, financial analysis, entitlement, pre-construction planning, financing, construction, leasing, stabilization, and disposition.
